These are all gorgeous pics. But....nothing beats the emotion in #18 "A Hero's Welcome".

Angelina January 7, 2010 at 6:26 AM

#11 The Lords Prayer.. Do you see the cross in the field light? Way to go couch for praying with the boys..

BTW, very hard to choose which one is a favorite when they're all so beautiful.

Unknown January 7, 2010 at 6:49 AM

So hard to choose. Voted for Lord's Prayer but it was also between Hero's Welcome and Boy's Germs. Having 3 brothers, I loved that one too! Beautiful work as always Katie.

Sanna January 7, 2010 at 6:54 AM

Fabulous photos....they are all awesome! =-D

Norma January 7, 2010 at 7:37 AM

I love them all - it was hard to choose, but had to go with the Hero's Welcome.

Very nice work!

martha January 7, 2010 at 7:50 AM

# 2 Dylan and Crystal....it's the dog that got me!

Kari January 7, 2010 at 8:08 AM

Katie, the work you do is stunning! It was really hard to choose. You have a gift for capturing peoples emotions.

I did vote for Hero's Welcome. It brought tears to my eyes sums up very well the way 2009 was for way too many families.

Becky Hosack January 7, 2010 at 8:20 AM

Katie - You know I love your work and there were so many nice ones it was very hard to choose. I loved the angle of the Military wedding one and the boy germs was a great catch of emotion, but the one that got the most emotion out of me and makes me cry every time I see it is the one I voted for, A Hero's Welcome. True emotion captured in action. Thanks for always sharing your artistry with us.

Darlene Derrow January 7, 2010 at 8:23 AM

They are all gorgeous. And that's from a fellow photog. I had to vote for "A Hero's Welcome". The emotion the picture evokes is too overwhelming for words. Keep up the great work in 2010. Darlene

Unknown January 7, 2010 at 8:40 AM

I wish I could have voted for 3! I did choose one though. All of them were wonderful! Your work is AMAZING!

Lisa B. January 7, 2010 at 9:00 AM

Well - I voted twice.....and as much as I love the Hero's Welcome shot (and all the others....) I think Double Vision is extremely creative.....but The Lord's Prayer is so rarely shared without fear of public critism on political correctness these days..... let alone, be PHOTOGRAPHED and promoted - that I have to vote for that one.

To see a group of young boys bow their heads and give heartfelt prayers, in a public setting and for the coach to lead them, is without a doubt, beyond words.

Thanks for all of your 'kodak moments' Katie. You better still be taking pics when Kayla is ready for her senior portraits! (A short 6 1/2 years from now!)

Lisa B. January 7, 2010 at 9:01 AM

Oops! Make that "criticism'!

Unknown January 7, 2010 at 9:15 AM

Katie, they are all unbelievably beautiful photos so it was really hard to pick the top photo! You're an awesome photographer!

zbaby January 7, 2010 at 10:05 AM

I love holding hands! She has the prettiest eyes and I love that it has a vintage vibe with the coloring! It was a toss up, love hero's welcome too...

Autumn January 7, 2010 at 10:59 AM

Great Job Katie!! What a fun contest :)

Maryalice January 7, 2010 at 12:18 PM

Oh Katie ... they're all so good it's hard to pick one but boy germs is hysterical and you can almost here the baby saying it also. LOL

AndieM20 January 7, 2010 at 12:42 PM

Wow!!! So hard to choose... They are all so wonderful. Fantastic job, Katie! You're the BEST!!!

Becca January 7, 2010 at 12:54 PM

Ok...This wasn't easy. I picked one, but I would rather have been able to vote for them all! LOL.
Katie - You have an amazing gift!

You always take such beautiful pictures. Like everyone else said, it is just so hard to pick one.

Keri January 7, 2010 at 12:56 PM

All of your photos are amazing. Holding Hands was super cute and Boy Germs made me laugh. The one that made a tear come to my eye had to be the winner though- A Hero's Welcome. You are so good at capturing emotion.

Michele January 7, 2010 at 1:15 PM

They are all absolutely beautiful! the triplets are so cute, but my favorite was #9 St. Pete's. The angles and the church are stunning.

Rikki January 7, 2010 at 1:22 PM

ack Katie - this was tough! I love them ALL! Especially St. Pete (so beautiful and I love the angle, the look on his face!) and Coach Shaw and the boys - what an amazing moment! But, in the end, Boy Germs just made me laugh, and it's color and clarity are perfect!

You are a genius! And pretty!

Do I win?

Amy Pierson January 7, 2010 at 1:30 PM

Through all the pictures you've posted (that I've had the pleasure to view)#18 has been the only one to make me cry - heart felt emotion wins every time. Best, Amy Pierson (amanda.pierson@freetochoose.net)

Unknown January 7, 2010 at 1:41 PM

Gwen
These are all beautiful pictures,'Heros' Welcome' touched my heart..'Boys Germs' is my next choice..

Anonymous January 7, 2010 at 1:43 PM

'Heros' Welcome' has it !!

astrstaff January 7, 2010 at 1:52 PM

Hands down... #15 Classic Beauty. The subtle colors match the era of the car. But, hey... I may be a little biased. :)

Melanie January 7, 2010 at 2:06 PM

as always Katie, INCREDIBLY HARD to pick a favorite since they are all incredible. I really loved #5, the two brothers kissing the baby girl, but the one that brought out the most emotional response in me (how I judged the "best") was, of course, #18 "Heroes Welcome". It made me get chocked up...so much in that little picture! AWESOME!!!

Amanda Kifer January 7, 2010 at 2:17 PM

#4 Holding hands :) Love it!

Erin January 7, 2010 at 2:24 PM

All the picture are great! My cousins twins are in the Double Vision and I love their reflection in the water. However I am partial to the Classic Beauty too...it will be a hard decision.

Leann Doritty January 7, 2010 at 2:26 PM

I choose "Double Vision"!! Its beautiful!!!

Anonymous January 7, 2010 at 2:27 PM

Katie, I LOVE the triplet photo! To get 3 babies to "pose" at the same time, all smiling, nobody crying, is a miracle! Don't know who the precious angels belong too, but they are adorable. And you did a teriffic job of capturing that.

I had a difficult time choosing! Hero's welcome, and The Lords prayer
were both right up there too.

Katie they are all so beautiful. How do you choose JUST one??? I chose bald is beautiful. It is a timeless capture of the generations of family. One that many don't realize how precious that is. Besides.... I have special reasons to think bald is beuatiful.

Melissa January 7, 2010 at 5:20 PM

I loved them all katie =] you do a beautiful job!

Marlene January 7, 2010 at 5:30 PM

Katie, it's so hard to choose, everything you do is so awesome! Of course I love them all, but my top 3 are Silhouette, St.Petes, and the one I voted for, A Hero's Welcome. With the emotion you captured and the war still going on, I just don't think it can be beat!
PS.By the way, your "panel" did an awesome job! :)

Tracey January 7, 2010 at 5:35 PM

I had to go with Holdin' Hands :) I don't think I'll ever be able to replace that photo above our mantle. You rock Katie!

Anonymous January 7, 2010 at 5:37 PM

Loved them all and it was a hard decision. I had to go with "The Lord's Prayer" after reading the comments and noticing the cross in the lights. God Bless!

Danine January 7, 2010 at 6:08 PM

"The Lord's Prayer" is not my actual favorite picture but it speaks to you so it's getting my vote. You caught a moment of something special...men and boys not being afraid to express themselves or what they believe in! That's AWESOME.

{and I know someone else mentioned but how the light shines like a star pretty great too!}

P.S. actual favorite is Military Wedding, love the angle.

Jeannie January 7, 2010 at 6:18 PM

You have a real talent with your shots! But I must vote for the Caldwell triplets! They are just too cute for words :)

dawn woodard January 7, 2010 at 6:56 PM

Katie -
i voted for double vision - creativity, beautiful background, great lighting and of course the two cutest little chickies around!!!
it has all a great picture should be.
all the pictures were great. you have a wonderful gift!

Noreen L January 7, 2010 at 8:29 PM

It is a very hard decision to pick from the pictures because they are all so beautiful. I loved the double vision photo, which I voted for but I also love the Lord's Prayer because it is very touching and I know my son is in the picture somewhere. I think I will vote again, sorry Katie. I have to vote for two. As always, great job.

Leslie S. January 7, 2010 at 9:00 PM

Too many amazing pics to choose from, Katie. I had to go with First Easter. Those eyes! Talk about innocence and hope. It would be interesting to see those eyes 18 years from now in a Senior Pic.

Anonymous January 7, 2010 at 9:03 PM

Beautiful work! I will definitely keep your name on file if I need photos taken. Had to pick the triplets!!! Priceless!

I must say Katie that it may be hard to beat three-babes in a basket--so adorable! But, I must say that "Bald is Beautiful" is my choice. If it were a question of just bald babes, the ones in the basket would have to take second place! Lol!! Great job.

Anonymous January 7, 2010 at 10:03 PM

I had to vote for holdin hands. From the first time I saw this photo I was hooked. It's something about her holding her parent's hands while looking away from them with those big beautiful eyes. You captured her beautifully!

Edith January 7, 2010 at 11:13 PM

The Caldwell triplets are just about the cutes little babies we have ever seen.
Wedding pictures are nice but baby pictures are priceless.

Debi Seneta January 7, 2010 at 11:36 PM

Very hard to choose. The Lord's Prayer shows that God is with us everywhere even though we cannot usually see him...He used you, Katie, to remind us that He is always near.

Katie - your photos are all great, but my favorite was A hero's welcome. It choked me up. It was hard to pick - I also loved the triplets' photo.

Ruth Ann January 8, 2010 at 9:23 AM

WOW.....great pictures of everyone!! You are the best Katie!! Really hard to choose just one, but I chose the triplets!! Love those babies, don't know how you got them to sit there and not cry!! Double vision was a close second for me. (can you tell I love the little ones!) They were all beautiful. I have 5 grandsons and another grandbaby due in July or August.......have to get them up to beach for a pic by you!!! Thanks for sharing!

Fabulous work. The perspective in some of these really speaks volumes about you as a photographer.

KATH January 8, 2010 at 10:23 AM

Katie, you are so talented. I loved all the pictures but #5 was my favorite. It brought back memories of my childhood & my two older brothers. We have a similiar picture of us - my brothers still make me cry! I guess that I need to get the "DINGO" after them!!!

Kelly January 8, 2010 at 4:22 PM

Katie, seriously how does one pick just one photo? You have such an amazing talent. I am voting however I can not pick just one at this time.

I just wanted to let you know that I watched Cooper's video that you made the other day and you did such a wonderful job on it.

Thank you,
Kelly

Linda January 11, 2010 at 10:40 PM

The eyes have it ... First Easter. What a pure, innocent child, full of vitality and curiosity. You portrayed the soul of this little girl. Her face shows the hope of all things good in life. What a beautiful, God-given, talent you have, Katie, to capture beauty and grace in pictures.

Hi Katie, I just read the comment I submitted on Jan.7th--you must think I stutter!! "I must say", (lol), I did get distracted at one point and should have proof read my message before I hit "enter". Anyway, When I checked the results, I noticed that "Bald is Beautiful" has no votes, where-as, the last time I checked, they at least showed a few. What happened? Regards, Sally Keep up the terrific work.

Renee January 13, 2010 at 8:54 AM

Katie all the pictures made you feel like you were seeing these people first hand.Looking at each picture you felt like you were standing right next to them. But I would have to say my favorite would be the double vision. I loved how you captured the water vision in addition to the twins. You do great work. Thanks Renee - reneemiller12@hotmail.com

The Caldwell Triplets are my pick, to capture those girls like that you are an amazing photographer. What a big difference from their first picture in a basket together!

Jill Caldwell January 14, 2010 at 4:02 PM

I am biased and voted for my girls, the Caldwell triplets. However, all these are amazing and Double Vision makes me smile. Of course I have a thing for multiples;) Great work Katie!

Karen D. Fischer PBC January 14, 2010 at 5:04 PM

The picture with the Bride and Groom kissing the bald head of their loved one is priceless. I am a true believer of incorporating Grandparents into the specialness of the wedding day, because after all, if it's weren't for them, there would be no other to follow. Great shot, I bet that couple cherishes that moment.
Time is the essence, and memories are moments captured.

Kathleen Peterson January 14, 2010 at 5:17 PM
